Day 1: Arrive in Addis and transfer to your hotel. Overnight Addis Ababa

Day 2: Birding Debre-Libanos Canyon and Geferessa reservoir Addis Ababa area.

Day 3: Flight to Bahir Dar - Chimba-Gilgel Abay Birding Route*

Day 4: Chimba and Yiganda-Zegie Peninsula Birding Route

Day 5: Gulf of Lake Tana, Abay Ras, and Bezawit Birding Route

Day 6: Fogera –Shesher and Wallala birding Route

Day 7: Drive to Gondar-Overnight Gondar

Day 8: Gorgora-Dirma Birding Route Alemsaga forest area

Day9: A flight from Bahir Dar Addis, and Depart Addis

Trekking 4 days

Day 1: Arrive at Guassa Community Lodge at Regreg around lunchtime,

Day 2: Treking from Regreg to Atse Wiha Camping ground, 

Day 3: Cheguarit Meda, traditional Menz village at Tebab.

Day 4: Enjoy a short trek to the main road then back to Addis Ababa

Alatish National Park

The trekking routes are selected based on the vegetation description of the park.

Trekking 5 days

Day 1: Arrive Gelegu, Quara town

Day 2: trekking The sites are major: the northern part and its associated buffer zone areas (Amijale, Marwuha, Grara, Bermil, and Amrakuba), which scrub and woodland vegetation is the major description;

Day 2: The eastern including the nearby ‘woreda’ town, Mehadid, Gelegu river, riverine woodland, and woodland is the major ones;

Day 3: The central (Alatish river, Megenagna area up to Demir the center), where riverine, wood grassland is the major one;

Day 4: the Southeastern side (Bambaho to Ayima river), where riverine and open sandy woodland is the major;

Day 5:  finally the central, south and southwestern up to Omedlla, which grass, acacia woodland is dominated).

The special birds are Black-billed Barbet Lybius guifsobalito, Black-headed Gonolek Laniarius erythrogaster, Broad-billed Roller Eurystomus glaucurus, Egyptian Plover Pluvianus aegyptius, Four-banded Sandgrouse Pterocles quadricinctus, Grey-headed Kingfisher Halcyon badia, Red-billed Hornbill Tockus erythrorhynchus, Rose-ringed Parakeet Psittacula krameri, Rueppell's Glossy-Starling Lamprotornis purpuropterus, Spotted Thick-knee Burhinus capensis, Stone Partridge Ptilopachus petrosus,White-headed (Cretzschmar's) Babbler Turdoides leucocephalus. In addition , Savanna (common) Baboon Papio cynocephalus Anubis, Grivet Monkey Chlorocebus aethiops, Patas Monkey Erythrocebus patas, Common Warthog Phacochoerus africanus, Greater kudu Tragelaphus strepsiceros, Oribi Ourebia ourebi, and others mammals are common to see.

Tiss Issat, Guna Mountain and Choke Mountain

Trekking 4-5 days

Day 1: arrive Bahir Dar, move to Tiss Issat fall located 30 km away from Bahir Dar City. It is the marvelous Nile Fall. A drive can be taken from the City to Chiss Abay town. Then trekking could take 20-30 minutes to have a look the fall. On the way birding can be made.

Day 2: drive to Guna Mountain is 75 km away from Bahir Dar. It is a community Bsed conservation area. Drive from Bahir Dar through Debre Tabor (700 yrs old historical place) then to Gasaye. From Gassay a drive or trekking can be accomplished.

Day 3: drive to Choke Mountain, undiscovered place (tower of the Blue Nile River source). It has amazing fauna, flora and landscape.
